From My Point of View

My humans just don’t understand.
I wish I could take them in hand
To tell them to let things just be.
Oh, why won’t they listen to me?

We cats don’t like to be pushed around.
I’ll find a way; I’ll stand my ground!
I’ll jump in every box they pack.
I’ll annoy, just to get them back!

When they move I’ll be hard to find,
But I know they won’t leave me behind.
However, ‘til then they will surely know,
Don’t they get it? I don’t want to go!

My bed was always in the closet,
As high on the self as I could get.
Where will my toys be in the new place?
Will there be room to scurry and race?

Why can’t my humans just stay put
Where I know how to stay under foot
Where I know where to shed my fur,
And when scolded; I’ll look up and purr.

This move is not very fun for me.
The new place maybe, we’ll wait and see!
