To watch a mourning dove enjoy a hug - I'm filled with joy, she knows I mean no harm. I gently speak and wrap her nice and snug; she coos, enveloped by my friendly arm. I'm filled with joy, she knows I mean no harm, though through her day, she calls with mournful plea. She coos, enveloped by my friendly arm, she wishes we could teach humanity. Though through her day, she calls with mournful plea, we start each morning with a hug like this. She wishes we could teach humanity - they might know less of hate and more of bliss. We start each morning with a hug like this, I gently speak and wrap her nice and snug. They might know less of hate and more of bliss - to watch a mourning dove enjoy a hug.

aha! could this be for hug contest too? I had the perfect poem for the hug contest but it was "old" so i could not use it. Eve is gonna be tickled pink with this pantoum. I see that you structure this form very well, being consistent in meter and rhyme. You are growing by leaps and bounds in your writing, John.
