From Horse-Back To Plane

He came riding on horse-back
mysterious was the man
he lived in tents and ate birds
no one could read his mind

Moons upon moons rose and set
he took the land and built cottages
natives looked on but he was growing
expensive things flocked his stores

Horses multiplied and then disappeared
rolling baskets came from nowhere
and metallic birds made noise often
and mysterious man became bird-rider

Mysterious man spread tentacles all over
and natives looked on without action
