On the night, when hope was formed Heartbeat of heaven, breath of light Because of grace, my heart is warmed By the One who makes all things right On that night, as twilight grew still There was a love who echoed His story Telling of a cross placed high on a hill Strengthening the ones who believe in glory On that night, when my heart grew wings I knew that love had come to light the way Where faith played the music and love sings Trembling with joy – even the angels say… On that night, so many years in the past There came a hope that will forever last Beyond all my worries, as I pray and fast I’m prepared to seek the One who I’ve asked… To silence the darkness with a light of love Sent to us by God Himself, from heaven above
