From Conception To Ascension

From Conception to Ascension

From conception to ascension
Jesus Christ would lead the way
Laid out our tolls for heaven
With his precious blood did pay

We have but to believe it
To stand our place in line
A cross he carried for us
For us he paid the fine

Don't have to work he labored
Under the weight of that wood cross
Blood streaming from the crown of thorns
His death was not our loss

It was the plan of ages
Christ came here to fulfill
Died between two thieves
As a criminal on that hill

But nailed upon that awful cross
Was the son of God above
Who suffered for our petty souls
Died for us to show us love

He was the way the truth the light
On the third day he arose
From death to show the way for us
Why he did it heaven knows

From conception to ascension
If we believe this story's true
We will follow him to heaven
If you believe that's what you'll do
