From Back In Time

I know some things aren't meant to be
as bad as they may seem
They could turn out to be a mix
of something from a dream

And something from way back in time
ten thousand years now past
A mind that found a way beyond
a life that did not last

It doesn't steer you, will not guide you
just opens up the door
Lets you see what is, what was
and what there is in store

The hand that you feel reaching out
the smile you feel inside
They may go back a million years
way on the other side

Is your dream, from here and now
because that's where you are
or from that place somewhere in time
beyond a distant star?

Part of you, may have been there
so very long ago
And one day deep inside your mind
you will find out, and you'll know
