From As a Child Forevermore
For they come here for me tonight.
With waiving arms and ghostly cries.
With fists locked and seething eyes.
Around my tomb they do despise.
For they come here for me tonight.
With all their lies and all their spite.
They bring their blame and deliver it to my door.
From as a child forevermore.
For they come here for me tonight.
As I feel my pain transfer to the light.
They curse and swear and wish me hell.
They pour their scorn, their malice, their hate into my well.
For they come here for me tonight.
With golden wings on which we take flight.
With smiles and peaceful caring eyes.
I leave them behind in their mad, sad world of lies.
