From a Raven's Back
FROM A RAVEN'S BACK
Raven wraps me in his blackness
Swoops me on his wings
Glides through tumbling midnight clouds
Across moonlit pine scent mountains
Darts down to taunt the choleric choppy winter sea
Breaks through the net of weeping mist to
Boldly greet the glistening dawn--
Reluctantly he deposits me beside my darkened doorway
