Frightened By Your Love
Frightened By Your Love
I see that you don’t understand
when I look into your eyes.
I can’t find the words to say
to help you realize.
You reach for me and I react
I’m tense from head to toe.
So many things about my heart
that you might never know.
So often it’s been broken
when push comes down to shove.
I’ve got to find a way to show,
I’m frightened by your love.
So pure it seems to me to be,
untainted by this world.
How can it last or make it past
this storm where I am hurled.
The ugly that my eyes have seen
from love that’s come undone.
It’s hard for me to just believe
I’ll ever find the one.
It might be that you and me
Would fit just like a glove.
But baby it don’t change the fact
I’m frightened by your love.
