Friendship Tree
On a hill stood a solitary tree
Enshrouded by a sky so blue
Please tell me what you see
I see the friend in the real you
I am a tree with many friends
You will never really ever see
But I know in crisis I can depend
Like the sun, rain and gentle breeze
My roots are grown over the years
Over time they become so strong
Just like you I can shed tears
But our friendship is never wrong
My friend whom you can’t see,
The sun, rain and that gentle breeze
The sun gave me warmth and light
Helped me become this strong tree
The rain quenched my thirst
As for the gentle breeze
She removed all my dead leaf
I am the beautiful tree
That is there for all to see
A solitary tree is never alone, just like friendship is neither, it takes time for the roots to grow and strengthen, so does our friendship, it takes a bit of everything to become what we are and to be accepted as we are, but like the roots of the tree, we shall stand the test of time, even in death new roots are being formed to other trees, just like when that tree was a sapling it friends were always there and nothing can ever make us enough to be friendless.
Now when you look at that solitary tree on the hill, you will always see it in a different light, and it will full you with a new delight
