Friendship
Listen to poem:
What a difference it would make
To learn early in life
How to recognize true friends
I remember one specific moment
When I was young
And had to chose between friends
It was a life altering decision
A turning point
I was only twelve but I so clearly remember
Realizing at that very moment I would regret it
Without knowing why or how long
It turns out I would pay for a long time
I naively thought there are
Unlimited second chances in life
And that opportunities abound
Not so
Heed that inside voice when it says you might regret it
It might be warning you that you are lacking courage
And setting a downward trend
Of course hindsight is 20/20
Be bold and trust that inside voice
Avoid the easy road
Stand tall and take pride in your choice
