Friendship
On the dock
Waiting for the next
Sea voyage
She never travels alone
She slipped from her mother's womb
Into the arms of a wise eyed grandmother
She tripped into her toddling childhood
And the strong hands of an uncle steadied her
She skipped through adolescence
And her moral opposite egged her on while learning to share her values
She flipped for a man and
Settled onto marriage with Love and the Lord's help
Now she waits for her newest adventure
And her company on this journey
Are faces she already loves.
