Friendship

Friendship Friendship Smiles and embraces The great and the small With Laughter Like a close companion Through cold whims of winter Sends Compassion With arms open to catch Tears shed like spring rains Spreads Joy Spinning like autumn kaleidoscopes Life’s story shared By Understanding Hearts ‘round a bonfire on summer nights Delighting in the paths of shooting stars And In ev'ry season always points up To new views Of the brightest North Star

'Hearts round a bonfire on summer night' - sounds awesome - how wonderful to have genuine friends to be able to share a bonfire with and talk about 'Life's story shared, by understanding.' Great write Sam, Blessings, Jennifer.

Sam, what a wonderful ode to friendship you have woven! Especially enjoyed the seasonal carousel and the metaphor of friendship each season provides. Loved the line "Spinning like autumn kaleidoscopes" and especially "To new views / Of the brightest North Star". Another amazing free verse, my dear friend! ~ John
