Friendship
My friend; it’s been a while. Let’s take a walk
down to the park we played at in our youth.
We find a bench; you tell me as we talk,
“The years have fled!” I say, “Ain’t THAT the truth?”
We reminisce; and laughter starts to flow
the way it always did for you and me.
The friendship that we started years ago
still sparkles in your eyes so beautifully!
