Friends I've Lost

Written By: D. Collins 10/20/24,
I will start with Cabbage, the one closest to me.
The little brother I taught, who was my family.
My Nigga for Life, who left me far, too soon.
A young brother who fell prey in the month of June.
Then, there's Granny, a beast within herself.
The best wine any man could pull from the shelf.
Standing 2-foot-2, and Gangsta all the way.
I wish that beautiful, black woman, was here today.
Let's not forget Jimmy, my influential Pop.
And, his father, we used to call Pee-Lot.
These were my Peeps who stood up for us.
And, until I am dead, I will show them love.
