Friends
Cold night.
Huddled.
Laughing by the campfire after so many years.
We lap up the clicks and pops and the warm light of the fire like thirsty puppies.
So much has happened.
But time is stilled by the fire tonight.
Our spirits shine by its light.
There's nothing but us.
All is forgiven.
This is love of a higher sort.
Artistic love. Timeless experience of the right now and right here.
A celestial tune plays in the distance.
It turns into a car.
More friends coming.
Time has returned.
We stoke the fire.
The laughter continues.
