Friends

A friend indeed
Does not need me
Why would they
As they can see

Friends we are
And friends we be
Until we both drown in the sea

But like the Titanic
We can't tell
What was that bloody bell
As it can't ever lead to hell
Because others would have come and tell

So a friend indeed
Does need me
As hell is no longer just a mystery
It maybe therefore also be
That I just also need thee

So we can all work on peace
And then shape our destiny
As friends
