Friendly Skies

The simple pleasure of seeing a smile
is something we’ve not enjoyed for a while.
To exhale freely is such a relief;
that we ever got here: beyond belief.

Flying has likely the safest of air
that you will encounter most anywhere.
Those HEPA filters all work overtime
scrubbing the air of viruses and grime.

It is so nice to be able to read;
the glasses don’t fog; it’s easy to breathe.
There still isn’t legroom; that part’s still tight,
but this is a flight where it all just seems right.

Flying’s not one of my favorite tasks,
but this one’s better: no mandates for masks.

Amen and Yippee! Thanks to that judge who had the courage to call out the government's B.S. for exactly what it is!
