Friend Or Foe

People are blown along one’s path
As one glides through life.
Some tend to make you smile with ease.
Others, you with ease give a hard eye.
Some, you find peace at the fins of their leaves.
Others, your inner man can’t accept.

These shades of attraction occur without why
Though some surface after a while.
On it, hands are held and legs are kept.
The shades grow darker in time
So crevices and blends are despised.

No one knows which hue is really true
Since hearts aren’t seen through mouths.
So love all but measure your trust.
Rule none out but always relax.
Never let your handle hang around.
