Friend Did Let Me Down

Amidst the conversations of people
Trying to negotiate on human grounds
Could not see my friend hurted deeper
What? The after event left me astound

Asking my stabbed soul now and again
What was my mistake if I really cared
It was not any stunt of personal gain
Friend turned enemy for her I dared

The wounds are grave whom to tell
World spotted with so ruthless beings
For I protected the immoral acts spell
Friend left walked alone for her things

Let down forever that trust decayed
Learning need to be taken for a wise
Love self first not emotionally frayed
Thanks friend for guiding light…true lies

Congratulations on your placement in my contest Sneha. You all left a piece of yourselves on this contest page. It was so very hard to judge. I am asking you all to read and comment on all the winners here. You will go away seeing into the hearts of all the winners. This was a very emotional contest for me. Thank you all for supporting this contest. Love and blessing to you all, Carol
