Friend
For so many years.
Our friendship
Has always been true.
Friendship given freely
Never greedy,
Always each other’s peer.
With smiles or tears
Always there for each other
Even in our fears
Our love endears..
Thirty-eight years later
One thousand seven hundred miles
from each other
our friendship is even stronger.
