Friday the Thirteenth

Friday the thirteenth, so the superstitious say, Is a day for caution, as the worst could happen Karma is likely to strike back in shades of gray Friday the thirteenth, so the superstitious say, Misfortune is likely to happen to you today It is a splendid idea to carry a good luck token, Friday the thirteenth, so the superstitious say Is a day for caution, as the worst could happen.

I enjoyed everything about this take on Friday the 13th – except carrying a good luck token??? What good would that do, since it's also superstition??? / Maurice

You are absolutely right, Maurice! Maybe two superstitions could cancel each other out, you think? I'm not at all superstitious, but I'll admit that I avoid walking under a ladder. As Gershon Wolf once said, "I writes 'em, but I am hard-pressed to explain 'em."

No, I do not. My poem says, "as the superstitious say," and I don't consider myself superstitious in any way. However, I do try to be understanding of those who are a bit wary about the date.

And today Friday the 13th was a college graduation day for many in the world! I know three of them!

Well, I personally think it's no different than any other day. I'm not very superstitious, if at all.

It is true Milton~caution needs to be taken~I don't think it is superstition, I do believe there is something ominous about it. I have had a few bad Friday the 13ths myself. However, your write, a delight! :Paulette

Thanks, Paulette. I don't know myself, but I don't take any unnecessary chances on a Friday 13th.

As I live on the 13th floor, my neighbours are certainly wary! Aloha!
