Friday Night

Friday night, Stadium lights, Number 34, Your name is Burch, Yes, my heart still hurts, From what you did before. There's more to life, And I could try I guess, But I don't have the energy, It's been six months since we've talked, It's been six months since we last spoke, I've moved along, Or so it seems, To bigger and to better things, But yes, I still hurt, You smile blinds me, And I call upon my strength and dignity, Just to keep from crying, And I see all my memories flash before me Friday night.
