Freya's Peace

My vision this is Freya in her house; a pastoral tranquility the sound surrounding pretty Freya and her spouse. A gentle cloud, she floats around and round, moves room to room, and drifts upstairs to down. She has no need to fret or rush about. A countess she can be and don a gown; inside her ballroom dance and not go out. And in a garden spot, when troubles mount, perhaps she sits; for solace, writes, head bowed or dips a brush in paint, and by her count is showered with the all that love’s allowed. For in the lovely manor, on its grounds, imaginings and dreams can know no bounds. Written 7/7/14; Freya is a real person I know; but her manor is my imagining. It is really nice to read a true sonnet. The rhyme and meter are spot on. the imagery great too. 1 suggestion though, start line 9 with some other word then "and". That is just a filler word that adds no value to the poem when starting a line.Otherwise a perfectly composed sonnet. I look forward to reading more of your work.

You pictured for us a scene of tranquility, grace and freedom to create. Your imagination definitely knows no bounds.

Please let me know what you think of Genesis. I seem to have ended another relationship. My girlfriend of 3 or so years tells me she has another boyfriend. I didn't like her politics too much - she is a left wing extremist. I am more to the left than right but she is hopeless. Good luck in the sonnet contest!

I imagine Freya as a ghost at first, before I read the note at the end. Nice little piece. To answer your Q. The interview was conducted by Matt Palm on me at a festival in Florida. He is a writer out of Orlando.

Now I am curious who Freya is--- but you sure painted her well here, I feel like I am viewing her through a window or something-- I like how you made her have a regal persona, and she sounds so graceful--- I hope you're doing well by now, sweetie.

Good luck in the contest! Do you watch Law and Oder SVU? Or Pawn Stars? Liked the last line in particular. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
