Fresh Start
Engaging with genuine intention,
Perceiving this new beginning, as a fresh start,
Of the past no-one should mention,
Time miraculously erases that little part,
Yet behind- rumors rattle, faces disingenuously smile,
Before you manage to take a breath, comments upon insult pile,
That perky bouncy you, eases into the all-so-familiar routine,
The situation now pathetic beyond the ability to redeem,
Remnant memories of how things were, set-up this expectation,
The fresh start is but 'false hope', simply the minds' creation...
