Freeing You, Freeing Me...

when i saw you two together i couldn't move i couldn't think
it took a very long moment (in sadness) for me to even blink

every time I've pictured you with someone
it was always me by your side
as we pass i fake a smile and say hello keeping my emotions tucked inside
i wouldn't dare let you see my hurt, i still have a little pride

my inner voice says 'you're better than her so please don't fret'
then another voice says 'if that's true then why hasn't he returned yet'

but i tell myself that it's just not meant to be
so today is the day i finally set you free

at last freeing you...
freeing me...
