Freedom In Flight

FREEDOM IN FLIGHT Once there was a beautiful bird That daily hopped atop my sill It sang so soft, it'w whistle sweet My heart did warm with every chirp And then one day no shrill or pip The bird did fall and its wing did break And in pain it laid upon my lawn With nary a strength to take a flight And so the bird i gently picked And tended it daily back to 'gor But thought it got the best of care In cages winged beings tend to die And so in time the bird did heal But gone was all the cheerful chirp So for the feathered one to thrive I learnt its freedom was in flight.
