Freedom From Winter Breeze
my skin
requests for warmth
to resist cold,
freedom from winter breeze,
sweeping many into grave
before time.
my heart
pounds for my love
as charcoal burns,
keeping us close as one,
hands seek contours of her back
to be sure.
