                Freedom from being admired…
Off of the vanity of vanities treadmill.
My face above the candled window sill,
                Wonderfully, from freezing pride retired.

I still can pen, when I am not tired…
To be my own, happy, self again!
Not a caged animal in a Poetry Pen
Glory to God~no addiction to be admired!

You, a gifted poetess, there are undoubtedly those who appreciate and even envy your talent. As a relative novice, I enter PS contests. I may hone my writing and learn a variety of poetry forms. Whether I do well or not it's good for the brain, like you I'd like to stay as sharp as a tac..so as long as I'm engaging with others. My goal, to write freestyle, as it gives poetic expression more to breathe.;D

Oh, no, I am not gifted Ayana! Sorry. I have other paths I choose to be better my work..And I support you in any way you choose! You are already well on your way, my friend. I am in a Poetry Circle in the United Kingdom. And receive learning poetry from two more sources. Acknowledge yourself, do. For your greatness.))) Best to you, Pangie

David, always a joy to have you visit!! I fully comprehend the desire to be at the top pf each list. Also…To have a barn of readers. I do not read poets like that.To stand on a box, waving a trophy. Or falling downstairs with an armful of imaginary trophies. LOL. I look for poets of a humbler sort. Poetry is not a race to win.It is an art to touch the human spirit. Examples…, ee Cummings,WH Auden etc. Cheers, Pangie thank you for your kind words

My good friend, I admire you for your courage and your poems. Truth in poetry should always be admired. Keep on penning. God bless you.

Robert, I doubt my courage here and think it is disdained. Seems to me, we all must be the same or else! Subjects like valor, gratitude are hated. Ethical life? Hah! Hated the most. Subjects like, moon and spoon are fine. The more mundane, the better, the sillier are big hits here. And lauded to the heavens? Writing unmeaningful poetry is safest. Any 6th grader can rhyme about anything. It is beyond depressing ,,,I am grateful for the few humble, great poets here. And the very fine poets who support me. Respectfully, Pangiota

Ah, well said, Pangie! To pen what makes you, you. Sounds like freedom indeed.

Good evening, soul brother! It’s miraculous, for me. It may not be for all! I think when I was new here I was very concerned about replies. However., I have moved on into relationships.. that’s a whole nother ballpark.that is far deeper and more satisfying, Pangie
