Freedom For All

We hope to be treated kind, without bias So often we're sorely disappointed From the start, we’re taught how to love & hate But life teaches us lessons, along the way Different beliefs don’t mean either is wrong Educational values arise from all cultures Covered in ash, at New York's ground zero Working together, colors obscured… no judging Our servicemen fight, protecting one another Gender, race… religion aren’t of the soldiers concern Our beliefs should always shine through us Striving to maintain basic human rights & freedom for all

Anna, this is a lovely poem. So apropos for remembering that our service men and women serve us with good attitudes! Yes, preserving freedom for all.
