Freedom Fight

Just because it has always been does not mean it should always be
The institutions have failed the madmen
We must fight for our right to be free

Though the fires of rebellion have raged through the night
There are none who know the enemy, and fewer still who see
Just because it has always been does not mean it should always be

The silent tigers wait in the wings
For the crowd including me, but always, always, always
We must fight for our right to be free

Few there are who realize that they hold the key
The jailers all have fooled us with what it means to be free
Just because it has always been does not mean it should always be

Awaken sleeping masses
The time to make our choices is very soon to be; like our lives depend on it
We must fight for our right to be free

To everyone who listens and can pretend not to see
From your prison cells of privilege here is the message from me
Just because it has always been does not mean it should always be; ALWAYS
We must fight for our right to be free
