Freedom Belated

. It was all a sorry mistake the judge and warden say, and so, after twenty years, they finally set him free; strange, but freedom no longer gladdens him in any way. Leaning on a hoe, he gazes at the prison garden plots, sees in his tilted shadow the past outpace the present, and what's left of the future the past has overtaken! .

Sad indeed. Some says mistake is human, so we are all prone to make mistakes, yet certain mistakes had hugh impact on our lives and can affect others. I could feel how this person felt after behind bar for twenty years. As the years passes his hope fails and the day they decide to set him free he wondered, what is life will be. Does he really had a future in a world that he knew nothing about. A very touching and well written piece dear poet.
