Freedom

Freedom
Held captive by her mind.
Alone scared and terrified.
Hide your feelings from the world
While shackles hold your ankles still.

Venture to unknown lands
Where knowledge has a plan
Struggle every day
Trying to find your way.

Years were buried by the pain.
Drowning herself in pills and shame.
Take a stand and believe
Freedom is just another key
