Freedom
Freedom
I write these words
for people in doubt,
who question their existence
and what life's about.
There's more to life
than what meets the eye,
emotional feelings
we harbor inside.
Of all gods gifts
sent from above,
the most precious of all
is a thing called love.
Freedom's the light
with which we see,
it's who we are
and what we chose to be.
It's those hidden voices
our soul decrees,
it gives us life
if we only believe.
Friends and family
make life complete,
they share in the joy
and console in defeat.
There's times it seems
nothing goes right,
better to surrender
then put up a fight.
An old expression
says life goes on,
don't dwell in the past
or the futures soon gone.
To fully understand
the meaning of life,
you may chose religion
as a guiding light.
With faith and hope
comes peace of mind,
an inner strength
some never find.
We're here for a reason
though some chose to ignore,
there's something beyond
deaths' closing door
