Freedom

Freedom Here I stand A caged bird who wing is clipped From the day I was born I was told by everyone that I am the prophesied Hero who destiny was to save the World From that day, I had to follow a set path I allowed myself to suffer because I thought that it was my fate Oh how the people cheered for me Hooray for mighty Hero who saved us once again Nobody cared that I was slowly crumbling apart not even my family All everyone cared about was the Hero and not the person behind it I pondered to myself all day long, “How can I save everyone when I can’t even save myself”? As I rotted in the prison that was my home I thought that was my only path until that day A strange man dressed in a robe came up to me and offer me a choice Save the World while I had to suffer Or Be finally free from the cage but at the cost of the world I chose without a moment thought to be free and he set me free As I ran from the prison the stranger whispered I'm sorry that we made you suffer The people of this world could suffer like I did Because finally I was free Free from my cage
