The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Freed Spirit

We need not bother ourselves
with these details
For the process unwinds its progression
and the end is peaceful
Like the sleeping babe that enters
It's sleep that now claims the silence
Rest awkens the spirit
Who sees the need to depart
And we who bear witness
can only watch and wonder
as we silently weep in stillness
