Free To Roam
A robin red am I and free to roam
because I relish flirting with the breeze.
So gleefully I glide among the trees
until I’ve had my fill and head back home.
A bumble bee am I and free to roam
collecting nectar on a sunny day
from many lovely flowers on my way
until I’ve had my fill and head back home.
A baby foal am I and free to roam.
I gambol happily in pastures green
or where some willows near a brooklet lean
until I’ve had my fill and head back home.
A butterfly am I and free to roam,
My pretty wings spread color through the sky.
Meandering so happily am I
until I’ve had my fill and head back home.
