Free To Love
She was free to love him as a friend,
Her handsome gentleman and prince.
Days without him, were difficult to endure,
They had known another for almost a year.
She longed to love him as a wife loves a husband,
Daren't tell him that she cared for him this much.
The hugs and kiss endeared him to her,
She felt like Elizabeth Barette Browning to her Robert Barette Browning.
The great poets had been blessed,
How excellent she thought.
What was God's plan she thought to herself,
Her relatives and friends were happily married.
She had to believe in God and miracles,
As a senior miracles happen.
