Free Spirit (Or Is It Worth It?)
No shackles keep me captured
Nor prison walls, confined
I’m a person, always moving
Sentenced never, to serve time
A traveler from town to town
Free sprit, through and true
Seeking happiness at every turn
To escape the world of blue
It seems, though not committed
To myself I, therefore, remain
A searcher then, with burdened load
A man, with only name
No possessions on my person
There’s no love within my heart
And though I’m a free spirit
Of no life I’ll be a part
So saddened by the truth of it
As from town to town I roam
No, I never will be captured
Sadly, I’ll never find a home
