Free Me

I will never fly if you keep holding me
Stop catching me
My wings need to embrace the freedom of flight
I need to fall to grow
I need to fall to rise
You can't keep protecting me from my destiny
I was born to fly
You have enslaved me with your love
I want to be in the open sky
I want to look at the sunset
yes I want to fly
I just want to live
I just want to fly
Free me from your hands
I want to feel the water beneath my feet
I want to fall in love with life
Free me
You will be the death of me
The end of me
Free me
I want to fly
I want to feel the wind glazing on my wings
The glory of freedom lives in my heart
I look in the sky and see the others fly and I am trapped in the hands of what you call love
Free me
I need to fly
I need to rise
I need my freedom
I was born to fly
Free me

Poetry contains thought, feelings, sight and sometimes irony. Like this poem.

This is great, just lovely beautiful. It beckons the feelings of an angel/bird/or butterfly. Asking to be let go. Great write. James :)
