Free Me

Free me from the chains that bind me..
Rid me of the things that keep me down..
You say my hands are free to clap to a different beat-
Trod on new land touched by only my feet.
Release your shackles for they rattle in my ears-
Your chains on my mind nothing is as it appears.

CHAINS..

Give me my freedom that I might find my own relief-
Relax my thoughts secure only my true beliefs.
You say my eyes are free to see a very different light-
I'm bound by your persistance, see things in your sight.
Release my total being, take your shackles off of me-
So that I may soar, I want to be free.
