Free Indeed In Jesus
I determine to do my best
With God doing the rest
In every quest, every test
Despite my evident weakness
Hitherto escorting the sleazy sickness
I display in the recklessness
I believe unsetlles naysayers
Who belittle soothsayers
Alleging they’re wolves and players
Determined to waylay my Ebenezer
As I walk on the blade of the razor
Bereft of fear because the only appraiser
Who matters is God
Who in every circumstance gives me a prod
To ensure I surge forth to collect the gold
He sets aside despite any tribulation
I face knowing fully well salvation
Lies ahead alongside the standing ovation
I offer in my pilgrimage
On Earth despite my fading plumage
Which God transmutes into a glorious image
That depicts God’s desire
To restore wholeness from the pyre
Raging and roaring to inspire ire
I no longer need
In every demanding deed
In which my duties feed
As God assures me I belong to him
Whether I crawl, kneel or dream
Of glory and gregariousness in every whim
I entertain
As long as fervent faith I maintain
Knowing God won’t allow impurities and iniquities to threaten
The life I lead
As the blood of Jesus I plead
Because with him and by him I’m free indeed.
