Free Cee Your Guess Is As Good As Shine
A BEAUTY, A *****, AND A BASTARDIZED BUTTERFLY
I remember you used to annoy me
And that wasn’t at all constructive
I remember you tried to destroy me
And I was already self-destructive
You were a person who pointed me to poison
That which I required least
I remember you as a beautiful beast
And that you fed me fire as a feast
While my maladies and madness increased
As my delight and determination decreased
I was resolved to rectify the ruins of a wreck
While daily you tightened a rope around my neck
I was killing myself slowly all alone
When you came along to throw a drowning man a stone
Not a rope for a man minus hope
And believe me, you made it difficult to cope
I was trying to outrun a dragon spewing flames
And you were the kind of woman a man like me blames
People knew you were precisely what I didn’t need
The woman who was there when destruction was decreed
A decree I called delightful for what you deemed unto me
But you were a butterfly I should have set free
Yet you clung to me with wings unfurled
And relegated me to a wretched world
You were medicine I could ill-afford
A bitter pill that if swallowed could kill
You caused me disappointment and total discord
A beauty that didn’t fit the bill
