Free Cee Yesterday Turned Inside Out By Doubt

YESTERDAY TURNED INSIDE-OUT BY DOUBT

There once was the past
A past that couldn’t last
Nor to fasten fast

There once was a yesterday
A yesterday that said yes to the merriment in the middle of the month of May
Yesterday

There once were dreams
Dreams misbegotten by misery and maudlin moonbeams
There were dreams

There once were hopes
Hopes reigned in by unrelenting ropes

There once was a tomorrow
A tomorrow tumultuous and tormented by sorrow

There once came an end
An end when beauty and a beast came to blend

And then there is today
A tawdry today
A today torturous and tremulous by nature and way
Yes, that is, indeed………..
An indiscreet today

Somehow you know me, confusion by accident or choice? I don't know but it follows me like my shadow and suddenly the insignificant becomes more than I could handle. Gave me something to think about Jeffry.

I wish we could find Jeffry Cohan. He hasn't written poems in a couple of years. Jim Horn
