Free Cee To Pray the Least

TO PRAY THE LEAST

We both bodies headed toward the western sky
Neither lover knowing full well why
Just a destination drawn from a pot of gold
And a hope for the two of us to forever hold

The west became a test when green turned to brown
And a prairie faded to a frightful frown
Struggled on did we midst doubt and fright
And too many a frigid night

No spark to ignite a conversation long overdue
Only the western sky that betrayed its blue
Stagnation stayed until a storm arrived
And constant consternation was contrived

We headed west with but one thought in mind
What in the world in the west would we find?
‘twas for sure a troubled trek to say the least
Until heading west led two lovers right back to the east
