if I can just make you happy
if I can just make you smile
if I can just make you have some phun
then my job will have been done

if I could just make you know that I love you
If I could just convince you of my devotion
If I could just make you content as anyone
Then my job will have been done

If I could just give you all the thing you deserve
If I could just return all the things you do for me
If I could just make a cloudy day trade itself for the sun
Then my job will have been done

If I could just do things you need me to do
If I could just relieve you of some stress and strain
If I could just make you feel as though a loser finally won
Then my job will have been done

When all is said and done
When our happily ever after comes true
when sorrow and troubles are something we both can shun
then my wishes for you will all have been done
