Free Cee Requiem For a Romance
REQUIEM FOR A ROMANCE
You know, we could.........
we could laugh every day the way we promised we would
you know, we could,
if we chose to,
choose to never argue
when you want or need to do something and I don't hesitate......
wouldn't that be simply great?
You know
we could care deeply
deeply enough to blur the horrific scenes we see
just you and me
the beauty only you and me could be
….........you know
we could share
with all our wishes and requests laid bare
you know,
you and I could make a really noteworthy pair
we could thank our lucky stars that we ever came to meet
you know
we have the ability to make life cotton candy type sweet
when our decades long unfulfilled search for each other would thereby finally meet defeat
we could prevent reality from stifling a smile
for quite a while
we could.....................
we could live in that castle across the street
wherein once again we could bless the day we both came to meet
