NEXT STOP SERENITY
Wake me up when I get there
The place that keeps me aimed ahead
Wake me when it all becomes clear
And I won’t accept an “instead”
Don’t offer me an alternative
I want the actual place
Life has a lot to give
Like a lover’s loving embrace
I will ride this train until I arrive
And won’t depart at just any depot
I promised myself that I will survive
After searching high and low
It’s been a lifelong battle I’ve fought
Through villages and too many towns
Between destiny and delight I have been caught
And have seen the transfer of too many crowns
So shake me awake when I get there
Lift me from this uncomfortable bed
I’m aimed for a place where there is no fear
And hopefully I’ll arrive before I’m found dead
