How do you love someone who derides everything you do?
like you
how do you love someone who always believes what you
say is untrue?
like you
how do you love someone who treats love as if it were a
game
with those owed and those due?
like you
how do you love someone when your love for them puts
theirs to shame?
and it's proved by the things they don't do
like you
how do you love someone who no longer
resembles the lover you once knew?
like you
how do you love a person who loves a person
who too oft treats you like the enemy?
like me
