JUSTIFIED BY THE UNJUST I am on a journey to justification I am on a trip toward truth revealed I am on a trek for transformation Where my wounds of wickedness might be healed Somehow I feel compelled to justify my actions To explain my shortcomings and far too many faults Somewhere there is a place where I can replace sorrow for smiles And a land where the lamentable can become the acceptable I am not looking for a new life to begin I am simply looking to vindicate my old life The one I have lived And will continue to live I want an end to be a beginning And this new beginning to never end I want to walk on until I can walk no more Then lay down wile quilted by the quiet truth I pray for the fortitude to forget my past And the requisite wisdom to recognize that which I need to know most I would like to kneel before knowledge and gain insight in that kneeling I want the feeling of regret to be erased And to embrace the belief that change can be accomplished by humble supplication And information can be garnered by the gathering of grief overcome by good And most of all I want to find in a sea of sorrow a reef of relief I am headed to where a life can be reviewed And a head can be filled with what I need to know I am steering straight toward strength renewed And a place where I am allowed, at last, to grow © 2012…..PHREEPOETREE ~free cee!~
